Dr. Carol A. Trakimas is board certified Dermatologist who, in addition to her doctorate in medicine, holds Bachelor and Master degrees in science. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, her Master of Science degree in Biochemistry and Immunology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her internship and specialty residency training at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Subsequently Dr. Trakimas was a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army and provided medical and dermatology care to our troops and their families. Dr. Trakimas is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and member the North Carolina Dermatology Association and other medical societies.
Dr. Trakimas has over ten years of experience as a Dermatologist and has expertise in the evaluation and treatment of both common and unusual or complicated disorders of the skin, hair, and nails. During her military career she was Chief of Dermatology at Ft Bragg in North Carolina. Subsequently, she has been in private practice, providing general medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology services to patients in North Carolina and Virginia. Dr. Trakimas is a skilled Dermatologic surgeon and is highly regarded in the arena of Dermatologic rejuvenation / Cosmetic Dermatology. She is especially known to be a very knowledgeable, meticulous, and compassionate Dermatologist.

Dr. Cheng is a board certified dermatologist. She earned her medical degree from Duke University in Durham NC, did a pediatric internship at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill NC and completed her dermatology residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Prior to that she received a Bachelor of Science degree, with distinction, from the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University in Durham NC. Dr. Cheng is a skilled dermatologist with several years experience in private practice in Wisconsin, expertise in medical and surgical dermatology, and special interest in pediatric dermatology. She is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese. |
